What's on your Fibromyalgia bookshelf? - The FibroManual

Published
We want to know what's on your Fibromyalgia bookshelf?

What are some of your favorite books that helped you out with your Fibromyalgia? Share with us in the comments and let us know if we should do a review on other books. I have a pile of books that were written for Fibromyalgia and those that can also help us.

For today's video, I discuss The FibroManual by Dr. Ginevra Liptan. This is one of the first books I recommend Fibromyalgia patients pick up, read, and add to their bookshelf. It's a well-rounded book on all of the hot topics for Fibromyalgia. It was written in 2016 and I know science has been updated, but this book is a great place to start and best of all you can share it with your provider. Dr. Liptan does a great job of integrating standard of care of Fibromyalgia with integrative medicine.

Dr. Liptan is a professionally trained medical doctor who also lives Fibromyalgia. She specializes in treating Fibromyalgia patients at the Frida Center for Fibromyalgia. In The FibroManual she takes through the 4 R's of Fibromyalgia Treatment. You can learn more here: https://youtu.be/I_1WsbnDNg8

She then walks us through topics such as stress response, fixing sleep, digestion, therapeutic movement, unsticking the fascia, energy production, inflammation, hormones, brain fog, pain hypersensitivity and more.

Take a look at the handy chart regarding sleep on page 74 and have your provider look through the appendix section if they need the cliff notes.
