Understanding GMOs

Published
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration, in collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), launched Feed Your Mind, an Agricultural Biotechnology Education and Outreach Initiative, to increase consumer awareness and understanding of GMOs.

The U.S. FDA in collaboration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics has developed a continuing education program about genetically engineered foods, also known as GMOs, for registered dietitians (RDs)/registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) and nutrition and dietetics technicians, registered (NDTRs). By the end of the presentation, you will have increased knowledge to apply to your practice and share with your clients or patients as they seek answers to their questions about genetically engineered foods, commonly known as GMOs. Interested RDs/RDNs and NDTRs can earn free continuing education units at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ EatRight® Store. https://www.eatrightstore.org/product-type/webinars-and-presentations/understanding-gmos
