Tim Vincent: PUTTING THE PUZZLE TOGETHER FROM UNCOMMON SOURCES

Published
Tim Vincent discusses how to use uncommon archival sources when doing genealogical and historical research. State and federal institutions and publications offer insights beyond the federal census and vital statistics. Tim puts to rest some myths about emigrating from the old country and immigrating into the New Land. He explains how information about health and genetics from decades ago can pertain to individual families and may take the mystery out of adoptions.

Tim Laitila Vincent has been a private researcher for 45 years specializing in U.S., Finnish, and Swedish research genealogy. He is a frequent presenter at genealogical conferences, annual FinnFests and the Minnesota Discovery Center (formerly Ironworld Center). He has had an interest for thirty years in health and genetics and spends many weeks each summer researching the Finns of Butte at the Archives.
