They use the body’s good bacteria against diseases

Juan Du and the researchers at KI are investigating how the body’s naturally occurring good bacteria, the so-called commensal bacteria, can protect us against infections, such as HPV, human papillomavirus. The bacteria could be used for preventive purposes, in so-called probiotics, which can strengthen the body’s defenses and reduce the need for antibiotics. Watch the movie here!
