The Realities of Living with a Chronic Disease: A Conversation with Sarah

Published
For Sarah Jones, co-founder of PMD Alliance, Parkinson’s has been personal. Her father-in-law was diagnosed with PD and Sarah watched her mother-in-law struggle to keep up with her husband’s declining health. Now, as Sarah navigates a chronic disease herself - dealing with doctor appointments, many medications, varying symptoms, and the impact and unpredictability on daily life and relationships – she wants to share what she's learning about this journey. After reading How to Be Sick: A Buddhist-Inspired Guide for the Chronically Ill and Their Caregivers, Sarah says this is a “must have for everyone who is sick and those that love them.” Join us for a conversation about living with and navigating a long-term disease.

Parkinson & Movement Disorder Alliance is a nonprofit organization providing people with Parkinson's and other movement disorders as well as their care partners opportunities to learn, live life more fully and connect with other. We believe you are MORE than a disease!
