Congenital heart problems are divided into three broad categories, cyanotic congenital heart problems where a child may most commonly present with an abnormal heart sound. It is a serious type of illness and if some bluishness is observed in the tongue, lips, etc. The baby needs to be investigated and in admixture lesions what we see is depending upon the amount of blood that can flow across the lung circulation we may see bluishness. When the blood circulation through the lung is less or we can see features of heart failure when the blood circulation through the lungs is more.
