Published
This lecture was presented by Dr. Jeremy Y. Ng, to the staff at EBSCO Health on Thursday, November 17, 2022. Dr. Ng is a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Journalology at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.

Scholarly journals play a key role in the dissemination of research findings. However, little focus is given to the process of establishing new, credible journals and the obstacles faced in achieving this. In this presentation, the findings from a scoping review aimed to identify and describe existing guidelines for starting a biomedical scholarly journal are presented.
