Recession - orthodontic & periodontal re-treatment

Published
Tooth recession 41.
Appeared despite orthodontic treatment & fixed retention 34-43.
Previous documentation from other doctors & current CBCT were analyzed.
Coaxial retainer 43-34 was not damaged.
The intersections show that the root of tooth 31 is outside the bone.
Together with the periodontist, we agreed to move the root 31 ASAP to the bone.
I blocked the section 41-42, 31-33 with additional retention. I put the brackets on section 41-32 & inserted the rectangular wire in the slot to torque 31.
After 3 months, positive changes in the root position & the condition of soft tissues were observed.
In addition, changing the position of the root, we focused on re-educating the muscles of the tongue so that the patient would not press the tongue between the teeth.
After 6 months, you can see the root „sink” into the bones and soft tissues.
During orthodontic treatment, the patient is ready for periodontal treatment.
