Rare Disease Day - February 28th, 2023

Published
Rare Disease Day takes place on the last day of February, a month known for having a ‘rare’ number of days each year.

Building recognition of rare diseases is critical because 1 in 20 people will live with a rare disease at some point in their life. Even though there is no cure for the majority of rare diseases and many go undiagnosed or are misdiagnosed.

Quintessentially, the quality of life of the patient is affected by the lack or loss of autonomy due to the chronic, progressive, degenerative, and frequently life-threatening attributes of the disease.

This year, on Rare Disease Day, come along the people suffering from unique rare diseases to celebrate them.
