Promising future therapies for the treatment of epilepsy

Reetta Kälviäinen, MD, PhD, University of Eastern Finland and Kuopio University Hospital, Kuopio, Finland, comments on potential avenues of research in the field of anti-epileptic treatment. Prof. Kälviäinen describes how combining multi-modal data from patients and processing this using artificial intelligence (AI), along with input from specialists, would be beneficial in deciding on an anti-epileptic treatment for patients.
