Pelvic Exams on Unconscious Women WITHOUT Consent (Acceptable or Assault?)

Do doctors do pelvic exams on unconscious women without their consent? Do medical students do training vaginal exams on sedated women before/after surgery? I can't believe this is still happening in modern society, but it is. Already outlawed in multiple states, there are still places that allow medical staff to perform training pelvic exams on women who came to the hospital for surgery completely unrelated to their pelvic organs. What do you think about this?
