Pakora is considered as a very tasty and healthy snack especially during Iftaar of Ranadhan. Usually it is considered as an unhealthy food because of high calories and deep frying. But home made pakora is very healthy, low calorie, high protein, low Glycemic index and high fiber food. Vegetable pakora is rich in fiber, minerals and vitamins. Always use fresh good quality oil instead of reuse of oil or ghee. There are only 42 calories in 3 pakora, a good serving. Over eating and poorly cooked from bazaar are not healthy food. To cut down further calories avoid potato and use tawa not karahi means instead of deep frying cook like omelet.
