NEET-UG results: Three candidates share top rank in medical entrance exam; girls outshine boys

Three candidates shared the top rank in the medical entrance exam NEET-UG. The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of NEET 2021 on Monday. Telangana's Mrinal Kutteri, J&K's Tanmay Gupta & Maharashtra's Karthika G Nair shared the top rank. All three candidates scored 720 out of 720 in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test 2021. A tie-breaking formula will be used at the counselling stage for joint rank holders, said NTA. The fifth rank was shared by 12 candidates while 21 candidates shared the 19th rank. More female students have qualified for the exam than male students, said an NTA official. Watch the full video for more.
