Movement disorders diagnosis: the classic phenotypes

Kailash Bhatia, MBBS, FRCP, FAAN, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, London, UK, shares insights on his approach to the diagnosis of movement disorders, including important considerations for clinicians. As advances in the field, particularly in genetics, continue to improve the diagnosis ability, it is critical that clinicians are aware and can identify the classic phenotypes. Prof. Bhatia highlights that clinicians need to evolve and acknowledge the variety of existing genetic conditions to make sure treatable conditions are not missed. This interview took place at the 2022 International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders in Madrid, Spain.
