Dr. Brian Fertig, M.D., F.A.C.E., is the Founder and President of the Diabetes & Osteoporosis Center in Piscataway, NJ, serves as an Associate Professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and as the Chair of the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology at Hackensack Meridian Health, JFK University Medical Center. Now, he is the author of “Metabolism & Medicine,” a two-volume series detailing a scientific approach for predicting and preventing disease.
Dr. Fertig provides a model to change the future of medicine and medical training. His innovative interdisciplinary approach to diagnosing and caring for patients clearly demonstrates the unique opportunity we have to help humankind prevent and heal disease. Sparked by the sudden death of a dear friend and colleague, Dr. Fertig leveraged his decades of clinical experience in diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolism, and 10+ years of subject-matter research, to conceptualize and contextualize a new model of patient care.

Tuszynski, Ph.D., D.Sc., describe his healthcare model, “The Physiological Fitness Landscape.” This dynamic and precision-personalized scale of medicine, introduced in Volume 1 of “Metabolism & Medicine,” has transformative potential for the future of clinical practice and training.
Among his accomplishments, Dr. Fertig has co-authored several online articles with Chopra and Tuszynski, was awarded 'Top Endocrinologist in New Jersey' at the FindaTopDoc Awards of 2022, as well as America’s Top Physicians, Consumers’ Research Council of America, 2003—2007 & 2009.
