'Keeping kids moving' is key to a healthy lifestyle

The University of South Australia's Amanda Watson says “keeping kids moving” is key to managing healthy lifestyles for children when school is on break.

“Getting kids walking is better than just having them sit in front of a screen,” Ms Watson told Sky News Australia.

“It could be a trip to the museum, a trip to the art gallery, the science museum, the local swimming pool, the zoo, the shops, local playgrounds, there’s a whole bunch of things.

“They’re a lot more active when they’re outside to when they’re inside.”
