Jakin-mina es un programa organizado por Jakiunde para estudiantes de 4º de ESO de la CAV y la Comunidad Foral de Navarra.
Sinopsis:
Increased prevalence of obesity has led to a tsunami of metabolic diseases such those that affect the liver. Around 70-80% of patients with obesity suffer form liver disease. The most common form is the metabolic associated liver disease (MAFLD), where there is a chronic accumulation of fat in the liver. In the first stages is benign but as it progresses it might induce hepatitis, cirrosis and liver cancer. There no specific treatment fro MAFLD, so prevention of obesity and the associated liver disease should be one of the major axis in our health system. Looking for specific ways of treatments if one of the aims of our Research group.
