The weekly infection growth rate for COVID-19 is on the rise since restrictions were eased three weeks ago. It is a key indicator used to assess Singapore's COVID-19 situation. The ratio is now 0.9, an increase from around 0.7 when restrictions were first eased. A ratio above one means that infections are rising. Dr Leong Hoe Nam, Infectious Diseases Specialist at the Rophi Clinic at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, shared his thoughts on this.
