Published
Recorded on Wednesday 2 February 2022 as part of The Royal Society of Medicine's In Conversation Live series.

Dr David Halpern, Chief Executive Officer of the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) and the UK’s National What Works Adviser, joins Professor Henrietta Bowden-Jones OBE, RSM Trustee and Psychiatry Section President, for a conversation about his career and early beginnings, how BIT separated from the Cabinet Office and now advises public and private organisations in a multitude of areas, and how BIT is playing a key role and providing important insights into antimicrobial resistance, vaccination, obesity, mental health and most recently a new program of research into behaviour science in the gambling industry. Dr Halpern also discusses his contributions to the UK Government Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The RSM's In Conversation Live series offers the opportunity to get first-hand insights into the lives and thoughts of high profile individuals through an intimate, relaxed and entertaining setting, direct to your living room.
