Today we will be making a yummy apple cake recipe! This recipe is very adaptable and it only requires staple pantry items. I love how comforting this recipe is as the weather gets crisp. It really does bring the fall vibes to the home. It will make the house smell amazing! Even a novice cook can whip up this recipe because it's so very easy to make. HEALTHY APPLE CAKE


Wet Ingredients;

- 3 apples, chopped
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 flax eggs
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 3/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1/2 of a lemon to squeeze on chopped apple.

Dry Ingredients:

- 2 cups Oat Flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Cinnamon

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Combine 2 tablespoons of flax meal with 6 tablespoons of warm water. Mix and set aside for a few minutes to thicken up.

2. Add lemon juice to chopped apples. Sprinkle cinnamon on them as well. Set aside.

3. Combine all the wet Ingredients in a medium sized bowl.

4. Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.

5. Add the wet Ingredients into the dry and combine well. Don’t over mix however.

6. Transfer to a baking dish. I used a 8 x 8 baking dish.

7. Bake for 60 minutes at 350F.

Allow to fully cool before cutting the cake. This cake consistently is even better the next day! It’s a great make ahead healthy dessert!
