Foot and Mouth Disease | Call on Limpopo farmers to comply with movement restrictions of cattle

Published
The Limpopo Department of Agriculture says it will work closely with law enforcement agencies, to ensure that farmers comply with the restrictions on the movement of cattle.
This follows the decision by the Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, Thoko Didiza to suspend all movement of cattle in the country, to curb the spread of foot and mouth disease. The country is experiencing outbreaks of the disease involving farms, feedlots and communal areas. The affected provinces include Limpopo, Gauteng, Mpumalanga, North West and the Free State.
