Fired Up Friday Master Connector Tips Week 60 Do You Make a Resolution or You Set Goals?

Published
This New Year, do you make a resolution or you set goals?

It’s so important to set goals, not make resolutions. Resolutions are temporary and typically last only a few weeks if that! Make sure to have a long term vision, translate that into a long term goal, and then break it down into mid-term and short term goals. But then you need break it down even more into weekly and then daily goals.

Make sure the goals are S.M.A.RT. Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound. Ultimately it really comes down to your daily habits. A great book to help with that is the book Atomic Habits by James Clear. In the book he refers to habit-stacking! Great stuff. Check it out!

Don’t be like the rest pf the world and make resolutions. Set goals and commit to them. And, for heaven sake start now. Don’t say I will start when _____. You fill in the blank the _____ is. That day often never comes.

What are your goas (not resolutions)? Hopefully, you have goals that include: financial, health, spiritual and relational.

For me in the physical realm, my goas are to lose another 10 pounds and get from 17% body fat to 10%. And I have a plan in place to execute that goal. Do you?

What is your plan?
