Ramsay Hunt is a condition caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox – which is called varicella zoster virus. After chickenpox clears up, the virus can still lives in your nerves. Years later, it may reactivate. When it does, it can affect your facial nerves. Justin Bieber revealed in June 2022 he was affected by this helping to raise awareness of this condition (wishing him a speedy recovery at this time).
