Published
Every chicken keeper will have to deal with some type of disaster at some point. Here in the UK we have dealt with high storm winds and disease in Avian Influenza. If you're in Australia or the US you may have a risk of wildfires or even tornados.
We've been working with the brilliant podcasters Coffee With the Chicken Ladies and this video accompanies Episode 61 of their podcast. To catch the podcast head over to coffeewiththechickenladies.com
We'll look at how to plan to deal with risks including:
- Risk Assessment
- Disease
- Extreme Weather
- Contingency Plans: health & evacuation

We breed Buff Orpington chickens and have kept them for a number of years.
We grow our own food on our smallholding and endeavour to be self-sufficient. Subscribe to see more of our life including self sufficiency videos, recipes, garden tips and chicken keeping.
