In this clip, Dr. Thomas Schwartz examines the different symptom phenotypes of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). The DSM-5-TR recognizes nine diagnostic criteria for BPD, which can be grouped into the following four symptom phenotypes:
- Interpersonal instability,
- Cognitive and/or self-disturbance
- Affective and/or emotional dysregulation
- Behavioral dysregulation
