t people are suffering from Dandruff during their life span. It is seen as flakes on scalp mostly asymptomatic but sometimes associated with mild to severe itching and less commonly with foul smell. Dandruff isn't contagious or serious. But it can be embarrassing and difficult to treat.

Mild dandruff can be treated with a gentle daily shampoo. If that doesn't work, a medicated shampoo may help. Symptoms may return later.

Symptoms
Dandruff signs and symptoms may include:

Skin flakes on your scalp, hair, eyebrows, beard or mustache, and shoulders.
Itchy scalp
Scaly, crusty scalp in infants with cradle cap
The signs and symptoms may be more severe if you're stressed, and they tend to flare in cold, dry seasons.

When to see a doctor ?
Most people with dandruff don't require a doctor's care and it can just go away with regular washing and maintaining good hygiene.

“Prospective, Comparative Study of diode laser and Long Pulsed Nd:YAG laser in respect to their safety & efficacy for the laser hair removal in Indian skin.” This was its kind of first study in India during 2009-12, comparing two laser technologies in same patient to find out which technology is best as well as safe in Indians for Laser hair removal.

o Successful treatment of post burn scar with fractional CO2 Laser in Indians. WCD 2011
o Successful treatment of Becker’s nevus with Light Energy Optimization (Modified IPL). WCD 2011, ASLMS 2011, EADV 2011.
o ‘Cyanoacrylate Lamination Technique’ in Miniature Punch Grafting in stable vitiligo at difficult sites. ASDS 2011.
o Treatment of various scars with fraction CO2 laser in Indian patients. EADV 2011.

He received national award for presenting his work/ best scientific study on hair transplantation during annual conference of AHRS in 2017 from the president of International society of Hair Restoration surgeon.

Wrote chapters as co-author on hair transplantation technique in 3 national and 1 international books.
