Centre for Disease Control will give Australians ‘confidence’ on health policy

Published
Australian Medical Association President Dr Steve Robson is calling for a Centre for Disease Control so people can be “confident” in an independent body working on health policy.

“Australians trust medical advice and want to know that their health is being put first by a body like this, and not necessarily being played as political football,” Mr Robson said.

“We’re hoping the model that the government comes up with, really is one that inspires confidence in Australians and can work well.”
