Sudden cardiac arrest continues to be a major public health challenge. This is of epidemic proportion and remains a daunting problem. The actual incidence of sudden cardiac death is highly variable. In patients over a certain age, Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is a common cause of Sudden Cardiac Death. In patients below 35 years of age, Cardiac Myopathy is considered as the cause behind this issue. Sudden cardiac death can happen to those people at risk of a heart attack such as diabetes, blood pressure, smoking, and high cholesterol.
