कैंसर आज भी दुनिया के लिए बड़ा खतरा बना हुआ है. मेडिकल साइंस हर दिन नए चमत्कार कर रहा है। इसी बीच एक ऐसी दवा का ट्रायल किया गया है जिससे हर मरीज को कैंसर से छुटकारा मिला है. डॉस्टरलिमेब एक मोनोक्लोनल दवा है, जो मानव शरीर में एंटीबॉडी के रूप में काम करती है. मोनोक्लोनल एंटीबॉडी कैंसर कोशिकाओं की सतह पर पीडी-1 नामक विशेष प्रोटीन के साथ मिलकर काम करती है. यह प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली को कैंसर कोशिकाओं की पहचान करके उन्हें नष्ट करने में प्रभावी है.परीक्षण के दौरान मरीजों को छह महीने तक हर तीन सप्ताह में इसकी खुराक दी गई. परीक्षण में शामिल किसी भी मरीज की कीमोरेडियोथेरेपी या सर्जरी नहीं हुई थी. इस दौरान कैंसर मलाशय से शरीर के अन्य अंगों में नहीं फैला और न ही किसी मरीज की तबीयत बिगड़ी.अमेरिका में डॉस्टरलिमेब की 500एमजी खुराक की कीमत लगभग आठ लाख रुपये (11,000 डॉलर) है. जबकि, ब्रिटेन में यह प्रति खुराक 5,887 पाउंड में उपलब्ध है.



Cancer remains a major threat to the world even today. Medical science is doing new miracles every day. Meanwhile, a drug trial has been done, which has got rid of cancer in every patient. Dosterlimumab is a monoclonal drug, which acts as an antibody in the human body. The monoclonal antibody works together with a special protein called PD-1 on the surface of cancer cells. It is effective in helping the immune system identify and destroy cancer cells. Patients were given doses of it every three weeks for six months during the trial. None of the patients included in the trial had undergone chemoradiotherapy or surgery. During this time, the cancer did not spread from the rectum to other parts of the body, nor did any of the patients become ill. The cost of a 500mg dose of dosterlimumab in the US is approximately eight lakh rupees ($11,000). Whereas, in the UK it is available for £5,887 per dose.
