Basant and Jagdish finally find Nandu and learn he was kidnapped by Mahavir Singh. He comes to meet the family and Jagdish treats him coldly. Kalyani Devi scolds Jagdish and Basant for misbehaving with him and not forgiving him his for his deeds despite his sufferings. Later, Jagdish gets a letter and learns he has passed the medical entrance exam. Everyone gives credit to Anandi for supporting and helping Jagdish.
