There are concerns that popular online artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT could help students plagiarise their essays.

The chatbot has already achieved good 'pass' grades in a medical licensing exam, and a Masters in business administration paper.

It has led a Princeton University student to create a programme that can spot when AI has been used in an essay or exam, called GPT0.
