Day 132 & 133 were big climbing days for us, and luckily the weather cooperated. We summited Roan Mountain, one of the highest climbs yet, and a few smaller mountains in the Unaka Range. Across both days we hiked over 43 miles and banks some time in case we need an zero day or if the weather doesn't cooperate! A special shout-out to Sheila our trail angel for hosting us both nights and for making us dinner. Your cabin is so cute! Cheers to hoping this good hiking weather stays for a while. We have less than 400 miles to go!
Follow along with us as we southbound thru-hike all 2,194 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia to raise money for Parkinson's Disease Research!!
