In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be presenting on Aortic Dissection. We will be starting this lecture by talking about the etiology of aortic dissection in two categories, acquired and congenital causes of aortic dissection. Next, we move into the pathophysiology of aortic dissection and how these pathogenic mechanisms cause the clinical features we most commonly observe in a patient. We will then transition into the diagnosis of aortic dissection and will be using real diagnostic imaging to show how this condition is diagnosed. Finally, we will conclude this lecture with the emergent treatment of aortic dissection utilizing the Stanford A/B classification. We hope you enjoy this lecture and be sure to support us below!
