2 Grated Coconuts or 3 1/2 cup
Aliv – 50 gms
Jaggery - 2 1/4 cup
Clarified butter – 1tbsp.
Cardamom – ¼ tsp
Nutmeg – ¼ tsp

Method:
Soak Aliv (haleem) in coconut water for 2hrs. If you do not have enough coconut water to soak, soak it in normal water. {Or mix aliv (haleem), grated coconut and jaggery, cover it with lid and keep it aside for 2hrs. So moisture of coconut will help in soaking aliv (haleem).}
Take a pan brush it clarified butter. Put grated coconut, soaked aliv(haleem) and jaggery, mix it well . Keep vessel on gas. Stir continuously on low flame. After 5 min jaggery starts melting. Once jaggery is dissolved completely in mixture.
Add small pieces of broken cashew to the mixture. This is optional. I have added to make laddoo even healthier.
After around 15 minutes on flame, grated coconut shrinks and you can see Aliv seeds prominently. Now mixture is ready to make laddoo.
Add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder, 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder and mix well.
Put off the flame and let the mixture cool down.
After the mixture has cooled down, roll the laddoo.
It needs to be kept in fridge if you are storing for more than 3 days.
