A common herpes virus is found behind debilitating, incurable autoimmune disease multiple sclerosis

Researchers in USA and Europe have released the largest study that investigated the cause of multiple sclerosis (MS). Their findings, taken over 20 years from over 10 million military recruits, show strong evidence that the commonly found herpes virus, the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), causes MS.
