3MT 2022 - Jack Frew - MVLS - Rheumatoid Arthritis: From Disease Remission to Cure

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disorder affecting around 1% of the population. Currently around 60% of patients achieve remission from the disease, but this is not cure. My presentation provides an overview of how I aim to target the flares of disease that RA patients experience, and how our groups identification of new dendritic cell subsets will offer new target mechanisms for eliminating disease flares, and transforming remission into long term cure.
