3 severely wounded Palestinian children evacuated to South Africa for medical treatment

9-year-old Palestinian child Mira, severely injured by an Israeli air strike on Gaza, arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa on Friday for medical treatment and was greeted at the airport by a crowd carrying placards and Palestinian flags.

Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) has secured the first evacuations of 3 children from Gaza into South Africa for life-saving medical treatment along with accompanying family members.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) approximately 10,000 Palestinians in Gaza are awaiting evacuations for medical treatments.
