What does it mean to “unlock the power of the genome?” Imagine the day when every baby will be sequenced at birth, a future where time to diagnosis for genetic disorders could be tremendously shortened, from years to weeks. It’s a future where we can treat the right patient at the right time, fully unlocking the power of population genomics to enable precision public human health. This panel will discuss the inevitability of newborn sequencing and the impact that it will have in leading a new way of managing health and treating diseases, with special focus on the paradigm shift needed and the role of biomanufacturing to ensure timely delivery of the right medicine for the right patient.
