Carrot halwa or Gajar ka Halwa is a slow cooked traditional Indian pudding made by simmering carrots with milk. This is a popular and super delicious classic Indian sweet dish which is pretty much served at feast in India. Be it a wedding, party or any other celebrations this can be always seen on the menu and it never fails to impress people. Carrot halwa is also known as gajar ka halwa or gajrela. Gajar is the hindi word for carrot and halwa is pudding. Mostly it is prepared using refined sugar but here I have used desi khand or khandsari which is a natural and unrefined sugar to sweeten the dish, low fat cream instead of khoya(simmered milk solid).

We can stay healthy forever by adopting some changes in our daily diet and habits .
