After reading the reviews, and the closeness to our hotel, we wanted to try this place, imagine our surprise when we got there, and not only were they closed, it appears they are out-of- buisness. Pity, we really wanted to try it. I think of this place as a very solid, go to place.
You are never going to be wowed by some new dish, but you are never going to be disappointed. I was simply not expecting a restaurant like this next to UCLA. The minute you open the door, it feels like you are in Italy. The decor is simply perfect, the service is at the highest level and the food is really good. The wine list is great and reasonable. The pastas are made fresh daily. We love the carbinara pasta. Tri color salad with toasted almonds Starter with prawns and salad was tasteful, but the pasta with clams I had for the main course was not exquisite at all. The pasta was hard and certainly not freshly made. Just received our order from Tanino delivered by Grubhub. The food was horrible and cooked differently than described on the menu. Will not recommend.
